What's On Tap Wednesday: American Amber Ale

Our American Amber Ale is based on the classic style from great fame in the 1990's and 2000's. Simple, malty, and smooth. Lightly sweet with hints of caramel.

This beer has been brewed now three times under different names including Test Batch Summer Ale and Red Ale. But the recipe comes down to the most simple ideas:

When we first took over the brewery in 2023, we had a number of decisions to make. Should we focus on recipes that were given to us from the former owner, or begin again with recipes from our home brew days? In the end, it was one of our regular customers (shoutout to Neil Wakefield of the Village West Rotary Club!) who reminded us of one of the finest shining examples of beer and a place to start this recipe development - Alaskan Amber Ale.

  • ABV: 5.0%
